| Cable News Network, usually referred to by its initialism CNN, is a major English language Television Network that was founded in 1980 by Ted Turner.[1][2] The network is now owned by Time Warner and the news network is a division of the Turner Broadcasting System. CNN was the first station to provide 24-hour television news coverage.
